Paloma Moreno Acosta, J.D. was born in Stockton, California but raised in San Diego. She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a major in English. While attending UCSB, Paloma was a weekly volunteer at Domestic Violence Solutions (DVS) in Santa Barbara. As a volunteer, she worked closely with the DVS Vice President to assist women in the undisclosed safe house location.
Paloma graduated from University of San Diego School of Law after co-founding the Employment and Labor Law Society (EALLS). As EALLS Vice President, she played a crucial part in securing the “Best Student Organization of the Year” award for her club in its inaugural year. In addition to winning the Best Student Organization of the Year award, Paloma was an integral part of drafting the curriculum petition that successfully added an Employment and Labor Law Concentration to USD Law.
Paloma has been with the GrahamHollis A.P.C. family since her 1L summer and joined the firm as an associate after being sworn in as an attorney. Paloma loves working on the plaintiff’s side of employment law because many employees are not aware of their rights and what they are entitled to as a matter of law. Regulating employers ensures that everyone in the workforce is fairly compensated. To her, employment law is gratifying because she is able to help people from all walks of life.
